Hampshire Jr Whip-Purs Football & Cheer

Each year, the Hampshire Jr Whip-Purs requires each family to fulfill three credits of mandatory volunteer service (referred to as DIBS). Throughout the season, we will offer various DIBS opportunities, including gameday concessions, cleanup, event activities, and more. These opportunities will be posted here as they become available, allowing families to log in and claim service opportunities.

Once you claim a service opportunity, a Board member will sign off on the completion of the task and report it to Board Secretary Kurt Kojzarek. He tracks the hours, enabling our Treasurer to release or cash each family's volunteer deposit at the end of the season.

If you have questions regarding any DIBS opportunities, please contact the Board Secretary in writing via email. This method ensures requests are tracked efficiently. Approaching a Board member during a game, practice, or event may result in misunderstandings or overlooked requests.

Volunteer hours (i.e. DIBS) are a crucial component to the operations of the Hampshire Jr Whip-Purs Organization.  Find out why...

Operational Support

Volunteers provide essential operational support for our program. Volunteers help with organizing events, managing logistics, coaching, and maintaining facilities. Without volunteers, our programs would struggle to function efficiently.

Cost Management

Volunteers help keep costs affordable. The Jr. Whip-Purs operate on tight budgets in order to keep our registration costs on the low side, while providing a tier one experience for our families. By relying on volunteers, we can allocate more funds towards essential items like equipment, uniforms, and facility rentals.

Community Building

Volunteering fosters a sense of community. When parents, guardians, and community members invest their time, it strengthens the bond within the community. This collective effort not only enhances the Jr. Whip-Purs program but also creates a supportive environment for athletes and families.

Role Modeling

Volunteers, especially parents and community members, serve as role models for young athletes. Your involvement demonstrates the values of dedication, teamwork, and giving back to the community. This can inspire youth to adopt similar values and behaviors.

Enhanced Experience

Volunteers help enhance the overall experience for youth athletes. By organizing events, fundraising, and providing basic gameday support, you create a more enjoyable and enriching environment. This can lead to higher participation rates and more positive experiences for the youth involved.

Program Sustainability

Sustained volunteer involvement is key to the long-term success of youth athletic programs. Regular volunteer support ensures that programs can continue year after year, providing consistent opportunities for youth to engage in sports and physical activities.

In summary, volunteer hours are the backbone of the Jr Whip-Purs program, ensuring that we can operate effectively, remain affordable, and provide enriching experiences for young athletes.

Please note that failure to complete service hours in which you registered may result in the Jr Whip-Purs cashing your volunteer deposit.  Do not claim a DIBS opportunity unless you intend to fulfill the task.
